The 100 Days Happiness Challenge Project

So last week I kind of decided to sign up for the 100 Days of Happiness Challenge

I saw MaryAnne's of A Totally Impractical Guide To Living In Shanghai and Sally's of Unbrave Girl blog posts and the whole thing seemed like a whole bunch of fun so I decided to give it a try.

It's pretty simple, really. All you have to do is post a picture of something that makes you happy every day for 100 days. Sounds like a piece of cake, doesn't it?

When I put my name down for the challenge I was somewhat hesitant. 100 days is after all a long time and even though I try to be happy most of the time I do have my moments. Who doesn't? In the end I threw caution into the wind and decided to give this whole challenge a go. I do love a good challenge and I have the feeling that this project is going to make me spend more time looking at things from a different perspective. I've already started to actively look for things that make me happy and do things that make me happy. When you're supposed to spend 100 days finding a little bit of happiness everyday then you've got to do your part.

I still don't believe in the pursuit of happiness but I do believe in doing things that make you happy and challenge you to be a better person.

I would suggest that you too throw caution into the wind and give this project a try.

Here's my first week of things that have made me happy:

Spicy knife-shaved noodles for dinner. This dish is really heavenly and therefore made me really happy.

A home-cooked dish, cooking at home isn't something I've been doing a lot of.

A bunch of my students. Seriously, I love this guys, it's so much fun having classes with them.

A big cup of coffee after running around the school like a mad-woman all day trying to prepare a presentation for one of my social classes.

Noodles...yes I have a thing for those. Lunch with my students.

Made an effort with my hair and styled it.

Cooked fish all by myself for the first time ever.

Bought myself a present, a fabulous new handbag.
